Miami Dolphins' Jarvis Landry working out with Chris Chambers
The Miami Dolphins are hoping to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and second year receiver Jarvis Landry is expected to be a key part of it. After a successful rookie season in which he caught 84 passes for 758 yards and five touchdowns, he is expected to be the No. 1 receiver in a retooled wide receiving corps in 2015.
To prevent a sophomore slump, Landry is working with one of the best Dolphin wideouts of all-time in Chris Chambers. Chambers caught 405 passes for 5,688 yards and 43 touchdowns during his seven years in Miami.
Chambers has been impressed with Landry's work ethic during a time when other players are taking it easy.
"I got a chance to work with him a little bit and be able to put my hands on him for a few weeks, and he's really into it. A lot of guys right now, they're on vacation for another couple weeks until after the 4th (of July), and then guys will crank it up. He's already training, getting ready for this season."
This is an encouraging sign for the Dolphins and their fans that a rookie isn't complacent about his play and is looking to take his play to the next level. Additionally, it bodes well for helping quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who will be looking for a new reliable target after losing Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline this offseason.
