Megatron extends longest active streak of 1,000-yard seasons
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson had one catch in a 35-27 win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The reception went for 19 yards, putting him right at 1,000 yards on the season.
Monday night marked Johnson's sixth straight season with at least 1,000 receiving yards -- the NFL's longest active streak.

Johnson has been one of the best receivers of the past decade. If he didn't miss two games during the 2009 season and fall 16 yards short of 1,000, he would be celebrating his eighth consecutive 1,000-yard year and not his sixth.
This streak may come to an end soon, though. Johnson, 30, has been relatively healthy this season, yet his impact has dwindled. He has produced just one 100-yard outing (Week 6 vs. Bears) and has caught only one pass in each of the last two games.
