Marshawn Lynch exits Bears game in third quarter with hamstring injury
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch entered Week 3 against the Chicago Bears with a calf injury, but it was a hamstring problem ended that his day early, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Lynch was declared out early in the third quarter. He carried the ball only five times for 14 yards and caught one pass for nine yards before leaving the game.
For the most part, Lynch -- who has rushed four more than 1,200 yards in each of the past four years -- has been held in check this season. Since running for 73 yards against the St. Louis Rams in Week 1, Lynch has averaged just 2.8 yards per carry.
The injuries Lynch has suffered recently won't help Beast Mode in his search for a breakout performance.
