After spending his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota as a dual-threat quarterback Gray had a hard time finding the right fit in the NFL.  His career originally started with the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns in 2013.  In 2014 he had a stint with the Minnesota Vikings before heading to Buffalo to play with the Bills.  There he had five starts catching a combined nine passes for 120 yards throughout two seasons.

2016 was Gray’s first season in a Dolphins uniform.  In 15 games this season he has a career high in receptions (14) and yards (174) while starting seven games.

With the inevitable release of Jordan Cameron coming this offseason and Dion Sims a free agent, Gray provides depth for Miami heading into next season and beyond.  It’s unlikely Gray would be the go-to-man in head coach Adam Gase‘s offense but he’s done enough to prove he’s an asset in South Florida.
