Mariota wins AFC Offensive Player of the Week
After a standout performance in last Sunday's win against the New Orelans Saints, Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Mariota, who returned to action after missing two games with a sprained MCL, completed 28-of-30 passes for 371 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions in the 34-28 overtime victory.
Per the team's official website, Mariota is the the second rookie quarterback to win the award twice in a season, joining Washington's Robert Griffin III, who won the NFC's weekly award twice in 2012.
