Manning ties Favre's career TD mark with No. 508

Peyton Manning has tied Brett Favre's record for most career touchdown passes with his 508th.

Manning threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker, giving Denver a 14-0 lead over the San Francisco 49ers with 2:57 left in the first quarter.

Manning went into Sunday night's showdown with 506 TD throws.

He threw a 3-yard TD pass to Emmanuel Sanders on Denver's first drive. It was Sanders' first touchdown catch of the season and he became the 47th player to catch a TD pass from Manning.

Manning reached the milestone in his 246th career regular-season game. Favre got his 508 TD passes over 302 games, mostly with the Green Bay Packers.
