Manning hopes the next Colts-Broncos game is less about him
Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis every so often to help fundraise.
The next time he returns to the city to play on a football field, he hopes it's more about Broncos-Colts and less about Manning-Colts.
“We’ve got a good, healthy schedule. You always kind of look to see who you’re going to play and where,” told reporters before a fundraiser for the Indianapolis children’s hospital named in his honor. “We knew we had to come back here to play, which, I think the second time around we kind of get to concentrate on the football part of it.”
The 39-year-old has been a Bronco for three years now, but continues to have stellar support in the city he once called his home. But he's He’s 1-2 against the Colts, including a playoff loss last season in Denver.
He'll get a shot to even the score on Nov. 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium. It could be the final appearance in Indy for Manning, who could also be on pace to break the career record for yards passing that week.
