Luke Stocker praises Jameis Winston, says he's 'extremely talented'

At this point, the phrases "Jameis Winston" and "talented" seem to go hand-in-hand. That's pretty much the most consistent compliment that's thrown the rookie's way, and there's not one that you could hope to hear more heading into training camp. The most recent player to praise Winston was veteran tight end Luke Stocker, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

"He's extremely talented," Stocker said, via PewterReport.com. "No need to say it. Everyone knows that. What is impressive is the speed that Jameis has picked everything up -- from the huddle to the cadence to the checks to the audibles. He's picked everything up so fast."

Stocker wasn't done there though.

"It's not only everything he can mentally retain, but it's also the hours he's spent away from here in his playbook. We only get so many hours with the coaches here, but it's the hours he puts in outside of the assigned time so he can come out here to practice and we don't miss a beat. It's impressive and really encouraging."

Winston's already being perceived as a player who hardly ever puts down either his playbook or a football itself. He's consistently studying or working with teammates, even in his downtime. If I had to vote on a rookie in 2015 who'll be the most mentally prepared, it would probably be Winston at this point.
