Lions' Quinn hires a scout away from New England

Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn, who was hired earlier this month, came over from the New England Patriots. He's still relying upon the connections he made there, as the new GM is using them to rebuild Detroit's scouting department.

On Tuesday, Quinn hired former Patriots scouting assistant Ron Miles as a scout.

Via Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman:

Miles was only with the Patriots for one season. Before that he was an assistant linebackers coach at Ohio State. A couple weeks ago, Quinn hired former Patriots scout Kyle O'Brien to serve as the Lions' director of player personnel.

Quinn could dip into New England's staff again before finalizing his front office.
