Lions put Cherilus, McDonald on IR

The Detroit Lions have put offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus and cornerback Brandon McDonald on season-ending injured reserve and activated linebacker Caleb Campbell for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.

Cherilus started the first 12 games this season before missing Sunday's 7-3 win over Green Bay with an injured knee. McDonald broke his arm in the same game.

Campbell had been on the practice squad.

Detroit also signed wide receiver Roy Hall to the practice squad. Hall was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fifth round in 2007. He has spent time with both the Colts and New Orleans Saints.
