Lil' Wayne encourages Cam Newton to be himself 'to the absolute fullest'

National Football League MVP Cam Newton fell short on likely the biggest stage of his career thus far in the Carolina Panthers' 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. The 26-year-old also didn't do himself any favors by walking away from the media just a few minutes into his postgame news conference.

While some have claimed that Newton's image will undoubtedly take a hit after the debacle, others, including his teammates and those from the opposing team, have come out in support of five-year NFL veteran.

Add Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne to that list of supporters.

The Louisiana native and avid Packers fan reached out to Newton via Twitter, encouraging the quarterback to continue being himself.

Newton spoke about his news conference on Tuesday and admitted to being a "sore loser," but also argued that it's not his job to "conform to anybody's wants" because he's his "own person." It looks like Newton has no problem acknowledging that he is, indeed, human.
