Le'Veon Bell says he was given a 'random' drug test on 4/20

April 20 is the first day of the year when the NFL is allowed to conduct its annual drug tests for players under the substance-abuse policy. The day also happens to have a different pop culture meaning in the United States.

So Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell seemed amused when the NFL decided to conduct his random drug test this year on April 20.

Bell, of course, was suspended for two games at the start of the 2015 season after he was arrested the summer before for marijuana possession and a DUI. The league originally suspended Bell for three games, but he successfully appealed that sentence to get it down to two games.

Bell did not deny his marijuana use at the time of his arrest. In fact, he readily admitted to police that he had been smoking.

Bell's season ended early last year when he tore his MCL and PCL in his right knee in Week 8. The Steelers hope he will be ready to return for the first game of the 2016 season.
