LeSean McCoy reportedly out Sunday with hamstring injury, could miss multiple games
It looks like the Buffalo Bills won't have their most potent offensive weapon Sunday when they face the Dolphins in a divisional clash.
LeSean McCoy won't play against Miami due to a hamstring injury he suffered in practice and could miss additional games, ESPN reported Thursday.
McCoy was forced to leave practice early after suffering the injury Wednesday. The veteran running back has been off to a fast start this season, ranking second in the league in rushing yards (587) and tied for second in rushing touchdowns (6).
Despite the report, head coach Rex Ryan told reporters Thursday that he was hopeful McCoy would be available to play Sunday.
"You know how I'm going to do this -- with how he progresses the next couple of days," Ryan said. "But, you know, he was out here, able to watch practice. But hopefully we get him back."
McCoy is in his second year in Buffalo after stunningly being traded by the Eagles in March 2015 for linebacker Kiko Alonso. McCoy is in his eighth season in the league and has averaged 5.6 yards per carry in 2016.
