Lady Gaga jumps off NRG Stadium roof during Super Bowl LI halftime show
Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl LI halftime performance was filled with all kinds of impressive theatrics, including jumping off of the NRG Stadium roof.
There was plenty of hype surrounding Lady Gaga’s halftime performance for Super Bowl LI, and it was safe to say that her theatrics were able to live up to the lofty expectations.
The Super Bowl halftime performance from Lady Gaga started off with her standing on top of the NRG Stadium roof. She began the performance by singing “God Bless America” while some beautiful pyrotechnics were going off in the night sky.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Lady Gaga then jumped off of the freaking stadium. The FOX broadcast initially didn’t show Gaga falling back down to the stadium floor, leading to a little bit of anxiety.
Don’t worry, though, because the artist was flying around throughout her performance. You can watch the moment when Lady Gaga jumped off of the NRG Stadium roof below.
The halftime performance was definitely a lot more entertaining than the first half of the Super Bowl itself. The Atlanta Falcons were completely dominating in the first two quarters, taking a 21-3 lead into the locker room thanks to a number of plays, including Tom Brady throwing a pick six to Robert Alford, who took the interception back 82 yards for the score.
Even those who weren’t the biggest fans of Lady Gaga’s music had to be impressed by the theatrics that went into her halftime performance. There were plenty of memorable moments from it, but jumping off of the NRG Stadium roof was definitely the most unexpected.
