Knee surgery knocks out Breaston
Arizona Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston will miss at least one game after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
The fourth-year player originally hurt his knee against Atlanta last week and tried to play through the injury in Sunday's 24-23 win over Oakland. Test results showed torn cartilage, which Breaston had repaired on Tuesday.
Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said Wednesday that he's hopeful Breaston will be ready for Arizona's Oct. 10 game against New Orleans, though he might not be ready until after the bye week against Seattle on Oct. 24.
With Early Doucet already out with a groin injury, that leaves Larry Fitzgerald as the only receiver who's seen significant playing time.
