Kardashian denies Mark Sanchez rumor

Kim Kardashian joked about recent gossip she is dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez — after the report spread like wildfire across the web.

The reality star had reportedly been hooking up with the NFL star at swanky New York hotels, with the two of them taking painstaking efforts not to be photographed together, according to gossip website StarberryIceCream.com.

But Kardashian expressed amazement Friday at the fast-spreading tale.

"Dating rumors are always fun when u don't even know the people your supposedly linked to! Who makes this stuff up!," she tweeted to her nearly 13 million followers.

Kardashian, 31, split from her husband of 72 days, New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, in late October.

Sanchez, 25, was previously linked to actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler in 2010.

Tabloids reported last summer that he was dating former "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere but the sexy blonde is actually believed to be in a relationship with Sanchez's teammate and close friend, Scotty McKnight.

During the 2011 regular season, Sanchez was also reportedly linked to supermodel Kate Upton.
