Kansas City Chiefs will probably lose this weekend
The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in what is sure to be a hard-fought battle Sunday; one they might actually lose against the division rival Oakland Raiders.
For those paying attention, the Kansas City Chiefs are hurting. What was sure to be a big season for the team has turned into a, “Who is this group of players?”
Well the team is set to take on their most hated division rival in the Oakland Raiders this Sunday in Oakland. Kansas City currently sits at 2-2 on the season after a horrific blowout at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in prime time. This is a team that is really searching to find out who they are and what kind of team they want to be.
Oakland on the other hand seems to have turned a major corner this season. They are sitting at 4-1 on the season, tied with the Denver Broncos atop the AFC West; now that is a hard sentence to write. Their offense is clicking quite well together averaging 391 yards per game (fourth overall in NFL), along with 28.4 points per game. Quarterback Derek Carr has an average, average QBR of 102.3 this season, astounding.
It is the defense of the Raiders that has some struggles this season. They allow the most yards in the league, giving up 452.6 yards per game. Their opponents average points per game is near the bottom of the league with 27.4 points (24th overall). They also allow the most passing yards per game as a defense with quarterbacks throwing for 330 yards per game. But even with the defense not even on par with the Oakland offense, they still win games.
So where does that leave the Kansas City Chiefs? Well, the sad reality is this is a game that is a must win, but they might end up losing. The team seems to play great one week, and like dog poop the next. Hopefully this is the week in which the team comes back together to play well. This is Raiders week! I have heard it said by many in the Chiefs kingdom, even if they lose all the other games of the year, as long as we beat Oakland then it was good.
This weekend is much more than just “another game” for the Kansas City Chiefs. If they lose this game, Oakland goes on to 5-1 and the Chiefs fall to 2-3, and an uphill battle begins for the team. Now in now way if they lose is the season over. Take in mind they went 1-5 last year before a 10 win streak. But, the sad truth is that this is game has a high probability of a loss, unless the teams clicks on all levels. So Chiefs Kingdom, let us hope for the best this weekend and that the ship turns around.

GO CHIEFS!!!
