Julian Edelman returns to practice just one day after injury scare
The New England Patriots were given a scare Tuesday, when Julian Edelman left practice after suffering an apparent injury to his surgically repaired foot. Edelman said he felt numbness in the foot, but after undergoing tests it was determined that there was no setback or further damage.
Edelman was deemed day-to-day, but it didn't take long for him to get back to work. He returned to the practice field on Wednesday, just one day after the injury scare.

Edelman was spotted catching passes from quarterback Brady and making cuts, which is reassuring for both fans and the team. Edelman initally broke his foot last season. He missed the team's last seven games before returning for the playoffs and then needing minor offseason surgery to fully repair it.
