Josh McCown is the king of jersey day (Photo)
Cleveland Browns journeyman quarterback Josh McCown comes to rescue for his daughter’s jersey day at school. So many McCown jerseys…
37-year-old journeyman quarterback Josh McCown has played on nine different NFL teams in his 14-year NFL career. McCown has played for the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions, the Oakland Raiders, the Miami Dolphins, the Carolina Panthers, the San Francisco 49ers, the Chicago Bears, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now the Cleveland Browns.
He may be hurt in his 14th NFL season, but he came through in the clutch for his daughter’s jersey day at school. McCown’s daughter and six of her friends were seen rocking many of his NFL jerseys.

From the photo, there are two Bears jerseys, one Buccaneers, one Dolphins, one Raiders, one Lions, and one Browns. The only three NFL teams that McCown played for that were absent in this photo were the Cardinals, the Panthers, and the 49ers.

It’s funny that McCown is totally cool with poking fun at his journeyman NFL career. Health has been an issue for him in recent years but has been one of the better backups in the NFL since 2011 with the Bears.
His success playing for Marc Trestman with the 2013 Bears allowed him to get starting quarterback money with the 2014 Buccaneers. As his NFL career is coming to a close, it’s interesting to think how the former Sam Houston State signal caller has had this kind of longevity in the NFL.
With Cleveland rolling with Cody Kessler under center and certain to be taking a quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft, will McCown play for a 10th NFL team in 2017? He’ll be 38 but can still help a young signal caller in an NFL quarterback room.
