Johnny Hekker Jokes With Rams About Possible Matt LaFleur Hiring
Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hekker decided to have some fun with the team on Twitter about the potential hiring of Matt LaFleur as offensive coordinator.
Throughout his career with the Los Angeles Rams, punter Johnny Hekker has always been considered one of the team’s biggest jokesters, which always makes it entertaining for the fans. So when Hekker came across a Wikipedia entry regarding the team already making Matt LaFleur the next offensive coordinator of the Rams, it was only a matter of time before the punter chimed in with his jokes on social media.
Even though the move hasn’t been made official, all signs point to LaFleur joining Los Angeles under Sean McVay to be the team’s new offensive coordinator. LaFleur has spent the last two seasons working under Kyle Shanahan as the quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons, and when seeing the progress made by Matt Ryan during his MVP season in 2016, it’s easy to see why the Rams would be excited for him to work with the development of Jared Goff.
As for the Wikipedia entry, well let’s just say Hekker seems to be looking for official answers like everyone else following this story.

With the Atlanta Falcons replacing Shanahan, who took the job with the San Francisco 49ers, with Steve Sarkisian, it seems like only a matter of time before the Rams make it official with LaFleur. In the meantime, Hekker and the rest of Los Angeles fans will simply just have to wait it out a little longer for an update on LaFleur.
Either way, the addition of LaFleur along with the other moves made with the coaching staff just gives Goff plenty of potential heading into his sophomore season with the Rams.
