John Harbaugh still believes Joe Flacco will 'win multiple Super Bowls'

When Joe Flacco won his first Super Bowl, some began calling him an elite quarterback. The debate raged on for a few years, but it’s simmered down recently with the understanding that he’s not in the top tier of quarterbacks, and probably never was.

His head coach, John Harbaugh, is not among those who believe he’s outside of the “elite” class. Harbaugh still thinks highly of Flacco despite his terrible 2016 season, and believes he’ll still win another ring.

"When he first walked into the building after we drafted him in 2008, [it was like], ‘Hey, dude, we’re going to win multiple Super Bowls. We’re going to win multiple championships here,'" Harbaugh said this week, via ESPN. "And we’re going to."

Despite everyone acknowledging that Flacco needs to be better – including the Ravens’ front office – Harbaugh has no problem calling him elite.

"Our quarterback is a championship quarterback. He’s proven that," Harbaugh said. "He’s an elite quarterback, he’s a franchise quarterback. You name it. That’s exactly what it is."
