Joey Bosa's great-grandfather 'Joey Batters' worked for Al Capone

Joey Bosa figures to be one of the first players taken in the NFL Draft next week. He's arguably  the top defensive end prospect this year after dominating at Ohio State, while drawing double- and triple-teams on a regular basis.

Regardless of whether he goes in the top-five or top-10, he's going to make his family proud. But he's not the only famous one on his family tree. In addition to his father being a former first-round pick in 1987, his great-grandfather, Tony Accardo, was the head of Al Capone's crime syndicate in Chicago.

Accardo had multiple nicknames, both of which displayed the type of guy he was. He was called "Big Tuna" by the press because a photo surfaced of him standing next to a 400-pound tuna. His nickname "Joey Batters" comes from Capone, himself, after Accardo allegedly killed two men with a baseball bat.

Bosa, much to his disappointment, never had a chance to meet Accardo before he passed away in 1992. He's well aware of the legend of his great-grandfather, though.

"I've only heard amazing things about [Accardo]," Bosa told the Chicago Tribune. Wish I could have spent some time with him before he passed."
