Jets WR Eric Decker misses practice, Chris Owusu out 'a week or two'

The New York Jets have suddenly gotten thin at wide receiver in the last week. Eric Decker suffered a sprained knee in Monday night's game and was held out of practice on Wednesday and his status for Sunday has yet to be determined.

Moreover, Chris Owusu, the team's No. 3 receiver, also injured his knee on Monday and will be out "a week or two" with a knee scope. He's already been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Decker had a huge game on Monday night, catching eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. Owusu has also been effective for the Jets as his size has allowed Decker to work from the slot in three-receiver sets.

If Decker is unable to go on Sunday, the Jets will have to rely on Jeremy Kerley and Quincy Enunwa as options at receiver. Rookie Devin Smith has yet to be active this season due to a lung and rib injury, but there's a chance he'll play against the Eagles.

Fortunately, neither injury appears to be serious as both should return within a few weeks, if not sooner.
