Jets place S Jaiquawn Jarrett on IR after clearing waivers
The New York Jets placed safety Jaiquawn Jarrett (knee/shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve after he cleared waivers, keeping him with the team for the time being. The Jets announced the move on Monday.
Jarrett was active for four games for the Jets, but he didn't record any statistics. After spending one season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jarrett signed with the Jets following the 2012 season. He's a former 2011 second-round pick of the Eagles but hasn't met expectations since coming into the league.
Last season with the Jets, Jarrett played in 14 games and recorded 40 tackles, two interceptions, and two passes defensed.
