Jason Witten Demolishes Derron Smith with Stiff Arm (Video)
Derron Smith will think twice before going near a Jason Witten stiff arm ever again after what happened in Week 5
Jason Witten is the death and taxes of the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL. Just when you see veterans hanging up their cleats every year, he keeps coming back and being the most reliable weapon for America’s Team. Even if he’s getting up there a bit in age, though, Cincinnati Bengals safety Derron Smith learned the hard way on Sunday that you don’t want to come into contact with one of Witten’s stiff arms.
With the Cowboys already leading 14-0, Dak Prescott had Dallas moving down the field once again. That’s when he found old reliable in Witten in the middle of the field with room to run. Smith thought he had a play on the tight end, but he was sorely mistaken.
As the Bengals free safety went for the tackle, Jason Witten absolutely planted him into the ground with an enormous stiff arm. In fact, enormous probably doesn’t even do it justice. Just watch what happened:
Beasley vs linebacker = 6.
The Dallas offense, playing kind of well.

I think it’s a safe bet that Smith is going to hear about this one in the film room on Monday.
The fact that Witten can come out at 34 years old and still make ridiculously strong plays like this is a bit absurd. Someone with that many miles on their body shouldn’t be just throwing dudes to the ground like that. Yet here we are in 2016 and the Cowboys tight end is still defying that logic.
