Jameis Winston says Sunday against Atlanta 'was a home game' for him

The Atlanta Falcons were 6-1 and looking to keep pace with the undefeated Carolina Panthers in the NFC South. Then, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to the Georgia Dome and pulled off a 23-20 overtime shocker.

While the Falcons fan base is known for being strong, Jameis Winston apparently felt right at home. According to JoeBucsFan.com, Winston stated that it was basically a home game.

“It was a home game, especially for me and Kwon [Alexander],” Jameis told JoeBucsFan.com. “You know, we [were raised] an hour right down the road. So I was happy with this noise. I took it as the majority of noise was on my side this time. Because I had a lot of family here.”

Well, if you're playing in a tough environment, there's no better way to go about it than to just hear the noise that's on your side, and Winston played like that was the case on Sunday. At the end of the day, Winston finished up with 177 passing yards, 24 rushing yards and two combined touchdowns.
