Jameis Winston focused on improving his red zone efficiency
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have improved in quite a few areas as the season has rolled on, but one area where they're still searching for answers comes in the red zone. As Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com reports, Tampa Bay ranks No. 27 in the league in red zone touchdown percentage.
While taking that number into account, it was obvious that rookie quarterback Jameis Winston was already a step ahead and looking at figuring out how to fix those issues.
"That’s something I have to get better at, to help us out," Winston told Buccaneers.com. "I believe I’ve been getting better every week, but definitely my eye progression and the things that I see in the red zone and how quick I have to get the receivers is different. That’s another aspect of my game you have to get better at.”
It seems that whenever Winston is focused in on fixing something, it gets fixed. He's just that type of player, which is a great thing for this team.
