Jaguars RB Yeldon injures knee in win over Colts

On an otherwise overwhelmingly positive day, the Jacksonville Jaguars received a dose of troubling news when starting running back T.J. Yeldon was forced to leave the team's 51-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts with a sprained left knee.

Yeldon left in the third quarter after being hurt while pass blocking for quarterback Blake Bortles. Per the Florida Times-Union, Yeldon, who exited the the locker room on crutches, will be evaluated on Monday.

Jacksonville's 2015 second-round draft pick, Yeldon ran 11 times for 62 yards and caught one pass for a yard before leaving the game. He also left the game briefly in the first half after injuring his ankle, but was able to return before suffering the knee injury.

With Yeldon's status for next week's game against the Atlanta Falcons uncertain, Jacksonville has just two healthy running backs on the roster in Denard Robinson and Joe Banyard.

The Jaguars have already lost a trio of reserve backs to season-end injuries this year in Toby Gerhart, Bernard Pierce and Corey Grant.
