Jaguars once again picked apart by Philip Rivers

The San Diego Chargers entered Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on a six-game losing streak, but you wouldn't have guessed it based on quarterback Philip Rivers' play in the 31-25 win.

Rivers turned in a vintage performance to help beat the Jaguars in his third matchup against Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley.

The 12-year-veteran completed 29 of 43 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns without turning the ball over in the victory.

“He was out there calling out our plays like he was in our huddle,” Jaguars cornerback Davon House said, per the Florida Times-Union.

In three games against the Jaguars over the last three seasons, Rivers has thrown for 962 yards and eight touchdowns. With his past success in mind, the Jacksonville coaching staff tried a different approach to defend Rivers on Sunday, but the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback wasn't fooled.

“We were going to show him something different and disguise a little bit,” Jaguars cornerback Demetrius McCray said. “He’s seen every coverage, so he knew everything that we were doing. He puts his teammates in the best position. He runs the show over there. They had a good game plan, and they executed it.”
