Jaguars fans celebrate ... a close loss?
The Jacksonville Jaguars took the field against the Denver Broncos Sunday as NFL-record 28-point underdogs, and somehow they walked off the field having only lost 35-19.
For most teams, losing by 16 would be a disappointment that called for a somber flight home. But this is the Jaguars we're talking about here — and for many of their fans, a two-touchdown defeat represented something of a new beginning.
I'm not kidding. There are some fans (who really, really need to raise their standards) who seemed truly thrilled with the result, which dropped Jacksonville to 0-6 on the season:

Even to the point of being vulgar about it:
Then there were others whose short-term memory could use some work:
Several fans applied some light sarcasm to the situation:
THE JAGS COVERED THE SPREAD! IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE Y'ALL!! #JACvsDEN â Adam Brooks (@ABlophone) October 13, 2013
And others went full-bore slamming the ridiculousness of fans being happy with a 16-point loss:
Turns out the Jags have something Vegas can't put a number on: HEART. #hottake â Drew Magary (@drewmagary) October 13, 2013

So congrats, I guess, to the Jaguars for only getting kind of destroyed by the Broncos. I'm sure we'll see you in the playoffs ... right?
