Jacksonville WR Robinson headed for Pro Bowl
Two weeks after not being among the initial group selected to play in the 2016 Pro Bowl, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson learned he'll be making the trip to Hawaii despite the earlier snub.
On Thursday, the NFL named Robinson to replace Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson in the league's annual all-star game on Jan. 31.
The second-year wide receiver becomes the first Jaguar named to the Pro Bowl since middle linebacker Paul Posluszny was picked in 2013.
A 2014 second-round pick, Robinson had 80 receptions for 1,400 yards and a franchise-high 14 touchdowns in 2015 and became Jacksonville's first 1,000-yard receiver since Jimmy Smith in 2005.
