J.J. Watt surprises injured HS football player with huge GoFundMe donation

J.J. Watt has been sidelined for most of the season due to a back injury, but it hasn’t stopped him from remaining active in the community.

Grant Milton, a senior at Woodlands High School, was severely injured during a game recently, requiring emergency surgery. He set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to help with medical expenses, and on Wednesday, he was surprised with a massive donation from a familiar name.

Watt donated $10,000 to his page with the message, "If there's anything that I can do to help, please let me know. Sending my best wishes to Grant and the entire Milton family."

The Milton family has raised more than $78,000, nearly reaching their $84,000 goal. Watt’s donation certainly helps, providing both a financial boost, as well as an emotional one for a young man overcoming a significant injury.
