J.J. Watt responds to critic on Twitter who calls him a 'try hard'

Despite being perhaps the best defensive player in the NFL, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt still receives his share of criticism for various reasons. Among them is that he appears to try too hard to be the likable and popular guy.

On Sunday, Watt took to his Twitter account to talk about the Texans’ 34-6 victory over the Titans, calling it a great team win.

The tweet, which seems innocent enough, drew a response from someone who called Watt a “try hard.” Watt then issued a response of his own, putting in perspective where he is in comparison to his detractor.

To say Watt is doing pretty well for himself would be a bit of an understatement. Like it or not, he’s not going to change. And, there’s absolutely no reason for him to do so.
