J.J. Watt dropped jaws by showing up at Houston pick-up basketball games

This past weekend, part of J.J. Watt's rehabilitation consisted of pick-up basketball with some unsuspecting teens and firefighters in Houston.

The Houston Texans star defensive end, recovering from offseason groin surgery, tweeted about basketball and got replies identifying various locations around the city where he might find a game.

And then Watt and his comrades went to work. As you might expect, it looks from the footage like Watt had his way underneath the rim.

From there, the 27-year-old made his way to Houston Fire Station 9 for a smaller game of 3-on-3.

"He just pulled up and had a basketball with him, and said, 'You guys ready for some hoops?'" firefighter Paul Portis said. "I think everyone's jaw just dropped."

Check out some footage from the Chronicle:

At one point Watt dunked and the firefighters just started laughing. That's a pretty cool experience for everyone involved.
