It's about time DeMarco Murray did this in an Eagles uniform

For the first time since joining the Philadelphia Eagles, DeMarco Murray ran for over 100 yards in a single game. In the Eagles' 27-7 Week 6 win over the New York Giants, Murray finished with 109 yards rushing and a touchdown on 22 carries for a 5.0 yards per carry average.

In the first half, it looked like Murray was going to be shut down again. He totaled just 12 yards rushing as the Eagles used him on sweeps and and stretch plays. In the second half, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly allowed Murray to do what he does best -- the power running game. Murray racked up 97 second half rushing yards.

Murray's best run of the night came on his 12-yard touchdown score when he displayed his power and burst. Giants safety Brandon Merriweather was closing in on him to make a tackle when Murray stiff-armed him to the ground before trotting into the end zone.

Murray is now up to 239 yards rushing through his first five games as an Eagles -- he sat out Week 3. The Eagles are generating pressure on defense and playing a dominant style. With Sam Bradford still struggling to find consistency in the passing game, the Eagles will need to lean on the power running game behind Murray.
