Injury Report: Week Eight vs. Arizona
Following the bye week, who among the Carolina Panthers won’t be in action against Arizona on Sunday…
Prior to the bye week, the Carolina Panthers were dealing with injuries on both sides of the football. Aiding in the treacherous 1-5 start, some injuries have decimated their positions as a much needed bye week fell at a good spot for Carolina.
As the Panthers prepare for the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, who will suit up for the black and blue to turn this season around.
OUT:
DT – Vernon Butler, T – Michael Oher
Offensive tackle Michael Oher will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday. After entering the concussion protocol over a month ago, head coach Ron Rivera addressed his absence this week.
Vernon Butler was initially believed to be back following the bye, but suffered a setback at practice. Hopefully the Panthers’ first-round pick is able to get back onto the field soon.
QUESTIONABLE:
CB – James Bradberry, CB – Robert McClain, CB – Daryl Worley, DE – Kony Ealy, DT – Paul Soliai
Despite being listed as questionable, everyone on this list is expected to play with the exception of Bradberry. The other two corner backs on the list, McClain and Worley should be available. Worley will be returning from a concussion and McClain from a hamstring injury.
Starting opposite McClain could be the rookie James Bradberry, if healthy. The only “real” questionable player, Bradberry, has missed the last two games with a turf toe injury. He has practiced, but Rivera wan’t confident that he will return to his starting role this week.
Rounding out the injury report for Week Eight, defensive end Kony Ealy is suffering from an illness but should be healthy enough to play. Paul Soliai missed the game prior to the bye week with a foot injury but has participated in practice all week.
