Indianapolis Colts offense gets a new nickname
By Nik Cline
When your quarterback is Andrew Luck and in his third season he already lead the league in touchdown passes you feel blessed.
So how do you reward him in the offseason?
By giving him three new receivers in the ultra-fast Phillip Dorsett, a son of a Hall Of Famer in Duron Carter, oh and some All-Pro guy named Andre Johnson. And maybe throw in an All-Pro running back in Frank Gore.
Pair that with what you have returning in Coby Fleener, Dwayne Allen, T.Y. Hilton, and Donte Moncrief and it gets coaches fired up. Especially Pep Hamilton, Indy’s offensive coordinator.
The Colts are favored to put up a lot of points in 2015, and rightly so. So much in fact that Hamilton has already given his offense a new nickname.
According to George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin, the new nickname has been crowned ” The Greatest Shoe on Earth.”
High praise for an offense, especially when it is only May. Training camp hasnt even started yet.
But this is not the first time Hamilton has been fired up.
He told the media earlier in the week that the second he knew the Colts drafted Dorsett in the first round he immediately went into his playbook and threw out multiple “heavy” set formations to make room for him.
With Hilton already being nicknamed The Ghost, this offense will take on a new identity in 2015. So hold on Colts fans, it should be a fast, and exciting ride.
