Houston adds DT Brandon Deaderick

The Houston Texans added another player to their already imposing defensive line, agreeing to a one-year deal with defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick. The team announced the move on Tuesday.

The sixth-year pro has played in 60 games over the course of his career with New England, Jacksonville and New Orleans and made 17 starts.

Last season with the Saints, the 6-foot-4, 297-pound Deaderick appeared in 13 games and made eight tackles. He was originally drafted by the Patriots out of the University of Alabama in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Deadrick spent three seasons with New England before spend a season each the Jaguars and Saints.  He'll provide depth on Houston's defensive line behind J.J. Watt, Vince Wilfork and Jared Crick.

The Texans also announced the signing of defensive end Jasper Coleman, an undrafted free agent out of William & Mary. Running back Mack Brown was waived to make room on the roster.
