Harbaugh says missed call contributed to Ravens' latest loss
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) The Baltimore Ravens have been losing close games all season. Their latest defeat was the cruelest of them all - in part because it involved what coach John Harbaugh believes was an officiating error.
Harbaugh says Jacksonville should have been penalized Sunday on the play that preceded its game-winning field goal. He contends the Jaguars were not set before snapping the ball.
If illegal procedure was called, the game would have been over.
The snap came an instant before time expired. Baltimore linebacker Elvis Dumervil grabbed quarterback Blake Bortles' facemask while making a tackle, giving Jacksonville one more play.
Jason Myers kicked a 53-yard field goal, leaving the Ravens at 2-7 after the 22-20 loss.
Harbaugh says, ''They didn't get the snap off in the sense they didn't get everybody set. The league's looking at it; they know it. There's nothing we can do about it now.''
