Gus Bradley: Jags 'really pressed' in fourth quarter against Texans

Heading into the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars appeared in good position to pick up the team's second win of the season. Instead, things quickly unraveled. 

Leading 14-10 after a late third-quarter touchdown by tight end Julius Thomas, the Jaguars proceeded to give up 21 straight points en route to a 31-20 loss.

“Obviously, the game didn’t play out like we hoped,” Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley said, per the team's official website. “I’ll just speed it right up: the end of the third quarter, we’re up 14-10 and going into the fourth quarter, I felt like our guys really pressed.”

Among the mistakes the Jaguars made in the final quarter included two touchdowns scored by Houston receiver DeAndre Hopkins and an interception by quarterback Blake Bortles that Texans defensive back Andre Hal returned 31 yards for a score.

“That can happen, but we can’t allow it to happen,” Bradley said. “You cannot press and try to make plays happen. You have to let them come to you.”

At 1-5, Jacksonville has lost four straight. The team heads to London to face the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.
