Guard Rachal, returner Ginn Jr. inactive for 49ers

Right guard Chilo Rachal is among the San Francisco 49ers' inactives for their Monday night game against the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

Rachal's status had been in doubt all week after he sustained a shoulder stinger in a 31-6 season-opening loss at Seattle on Sept. 13. Adam Snyder moves into the starting lineup to replace Rachal.

Also inactive for the 49ers is receiver/return man Ted Ginn Jr., who sprained his knee in the season opener and could miss a couple of weeks.

Running back Chris Ivory and backup right tackle Zach Strief were among New Orleans' inactives. Both have knee injuries.
