Gruden: Kirk Cousins is a guy we'd like to keep around

Kirk Cousins had a perfect passer rating and a career-high four touchdown passes in the Washington Redskins' 47-14 Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints. Cousins is set to become an unrestricted free agent, but if head coach Jay Gruden gets his way, he will be back with the team in 2016.

“Obviously Kirk's a guy we'd like to keep around but that will be up to Scot, Kirk's agent, and Kirk,” Gruden said Monday, per CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Tandler.

With eight touchdowns and one interception of his past three games, Cousins is playing arguably the best football of his career. It helps that the Redskins have provided him with a talented supporting cast.
