Greg Olsen: Corey Brown no longer a 'one-trick pony'

Corey "Philly" Brown came into the league last year with speed that would grab your attention. Even with that speed, he still went undrafted, which understandably left a chip on his shoulder heading into his first season in the NFL. Brown responded with a solid season, catching 21 balls for 296 yards and two scores.

According to tight end Greg Olsen, Brown looks like a completely new player heading into 2015 though. As Max Henson of Panthers.com explains, Olsen had some very good things to say about the second-year receiver this offseason.

"Last year at this time, Corey was a guy where we said, 'Wow, he's fast.' This year he is a receiver," Olsen told Panthers.com. "The guy can play. He's not just a one-trick pony, a guy who is just going to run deep. He has a lot of natural instinct to him. He has a good feel."

While Brown is known for his impressive speed, he's also spent quite a bit of time focusing on gaining weight this offseason, as Henson explains.

"I worked on gaining weight and keeping that weight," said Brown, who now weighs 185 pounds, up from 180 last year.
