Green Bay Packers WR Jared Abbrederis eager to make up for lost time

After missing his entire rookie season to a torn ACL, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis is hoping to complete a comeback in 2015, according to Weston Hodkiewicz of Press-Gazette Media. Abbrederis' injury and rehab are examples of adversity that he must overcome.

"For me, I'm a pretty religious guy—I know everything happens for a reason," Abbrederis told Press-Gazette Media. "God has a plan, so you just have to take it with a grain of salt and work through it, do your best and just know that he's got you where he wants you."

The adversity Abbrederis faces is not limited to his knee. There are also outside factors working against the 24-year-old pass-catcher, eight months removed from surgery. Randall Cobb, who was re-signed this offseason, and 2015 third-round pick Ty Montgomery bury Abbrederis on the depth chart, Hodkeiwicz notes, so his primary competition will be between Jeff Janis, Myles White and a few undrafted free agent signings for a roster spot.
