Goodell: NFL making progress regarding concussions

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says the culture in the league is changing regarding concussions, and there's now more awareness that such injuries are serious.

At his annual Super Bowl-week news conference Friday, Goodell said there's more work to do to deal with concussions, but the league has made progress to ensure that players who suffer concussions receive immediate medical help.

Concussions and their effects became a subject of much scrutiny across the league this season. Researchers found more evidence of a link between such injuries and dementia, and the league adopted new policies about clearing players to return to games.
