GM Steve Keim: D.J. Humphries is one of the best tackles in the draft

Arizona Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim did not think offensive tackle D.J. Humphries would still be on the board when the Cardinals took him in the first-round with the 24th overall selection in the draft.

Keim told the Big Red Rage radio show that they were very lucky to get Humphries towards the end of the first round.

"Going through our mock drafts, we didn't anticipate that," he said.

Humphries still had a year left of eligibility and could have went back to school to improve his draft stock even further, but the Cardinals are happy with his decision to come out early.

"With his skillset, I truly believe if went back to school he'd probably be a top-five pick," Keim said.

Even though there were offensive tackles to get drafted ahead of Humphries, Keim believes the Cardinals got the best one.

"We still consider him to be one of the best tackles in this draft class, from a skillset standpoint."
