Glazer: Browns won't select Johnny Manziel No. 4 overall

The Cleveland Browns, who own three draft selections in the first 35 picks, won’t be using their No. 4 overall pick on Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer has learned.

As Thursday night’s NFL Draft draws near, rumors and reports have emerged about teams in the top five potentially drafting Manziel.

While the Browns agreed to terms with quarterbacks Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen last week, they are still in search for their franchise quarterback.

Brian Hoyer, who general manager Ray Farmer has said he’s “comfortable” heading into the 2014 season with him as the starter, returned to the practice field last week for the first time since sustaining a torn ACL.

With 10 picks, the Browns should be able to facilitate a roster overhaul which began in free agency.
