Giants' Beckham among the NFL best in third down conversions

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has followed up his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign with 63 receptions for 863 yards and eight touchdowns through 10 games. According to Pro Football Focus, only Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has seen more targets on third down plays.

Eli Manning has targeted Beckham on 33 third down plays, and the second year receiver has caught 22 of them with zero charted dropped passes.

Only Brown has more third down receptions than Beckham. He has been targeted short of the first down marker on nine of those 33 third downs, per Pro Football Focus, and he has converted 55.6 percent of those plays for first downs.

When the Giants are pressed with a down to keep the drive alive, Manning looks for Beckham. His numbers may not be as dominant as his rookie season, on a per game basis, but he is doing more of the little things that help the Giants win games.
