Getting ugly: Injuries pile up during Sunday's camp practices
The last thing you want during training camp is an injury.
New York Jets CB Dexter McDougle
New York Jets CB Dee Milliner
That's right, Gang Green lost two cornerbacks Sunday. Milliner, a second-year pro, rolled his ankle and had to be carted to the medical tent. Garafolo confirms that the Alabama product has a high-ankle sprain and will miss a few weeks. The injury leaves the already-thin Jets secondary in worse shape, as Milliner was listed as a starter. The other starting cornerback, Dmitri Patterson, missed Sunday's pratice with a lingering calf and ankle injury.
San Francisco 49ers OG Adam Snyder
Snyder, listed atop the depth chart because incumbent Alex Boone is holding out for a new contract, suffered a knee injury. CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora tweeted this out:
It's unknown how serious Snyder's injury actually is, but if he misses significant time, that's obviously bad news for the 49ers.
Baltimore Ravens DL Kapron Lewis-Moore
The second-year player out of Notre Dame went down during Sunday's practice. The Baltimore Sun reported that Lewis-Moore was "carted off the practice field in tears and obvious pain." It took several minutes for trainers to immoblize his leg, while players from the Ravens and 49ers (teams were having a joint practice) kneeled down in prayer. The team later announced that he suffered a torn Achilles' tendon, which will assuredly end his season. It's another unfortunate injury for Lewis-Moore, who suffered a torn ACL in the 2013 BCS Championship Game that kept him out of his entire rookie season in the NFL.
