Former Titans GM Webster joins Falcons as scout
Former Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster, who was fired earlier this month after four seasons with team, was hired as a national scout by the Atlanta Falcons.
The Titans went 18-46 during Webster's tenure as GM, including 3-13 in 2015. Tennessee announced Webster's contract wouldn't be renewed on Jan. 4.
“Phil and Ruston bring over 40 years of combined NFL scouting expertise to our organization and I am pleased to have them join our staff,” Atlanta General Manager Thomas Dimitroff said. “They will both be focused predominantly on college scouting, an area that both men have excelled in during their careers. I am confident that they will bring an added leadership presence to our scouting department.”
Tuesday, the Falcons announced the addition of Webster and former Chicago Bears GM Phil Emery to the team's scouting staff.
